A concept study for a sustainable, temporary accommodation as a transit station where there is a need for protection against wind, rain and cold. In the design, it was important to consider sustainable aspects such as a decent production of the materials that were used and the possibility to recycle the product completely after use.
The design consists of plugged panels that can be made out of any solid plate materials such as sandwich-board or pressboard. Recovered water-resistant tarpaulin by downcycling e.g. out of old hot-air balloon or tarpaulins truck tarps and some cotton layers are forming the protection against cold and rain. The inspiration of the shape builts a dodecahedron which enables a flexible design of the shelter.
