String dipped type – handcrafted letters

I created the organic shapes with a string dipped in acrylic paint. After soaking with paint I printed the string between 2 sheets of paper. This resulted in a large number of free forms that I had not consciously created. I developed the geometric shapes at the same time. I used a brush to paint reduced shapes ranging from a stroke to circles and blocks. I then tried to analyze the free forms and read out the beginnings of the letters. In the further course of the project, I combined the free and geometric forms more systematically so that legible letters are created.
